Mary C. Talarek (nee: Karmilowicz), 81, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at the EMH Regional Healthcare Center following a long illness. Mrs. Talarek was born January 19, 1926 in Elyria and made her home here her entire life. Mrs. Talarek was a legal secretary for over 50 years retiring from Manning and Musson law firm. She was a member of St. Jude Church, Elyria, the St. Jude Altar & Rosary Society, and the St. Jude Mission Circle. She, also, enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Edward J., to whom she was married nearly 60 years; one daughter, Patricia Lyons, of Elyria; two sons, Daniel, of Elyria, and Mark, of Middleburgh Heights; four grandsons; and three great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Stella Kaszubinski, Mildred Bogdon, and Veronica Kowaleski; two brothers, also, preceded her in death.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin-Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. Closing prayers will be at the funeral home Saturday at 8:30 A.M. followed by Mass at 9:00 A.M. at St. Jude Catholic Church, Elyria, with the Rev. Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the St. Jude Mission Circle El Salvador Fund in C/O St. Jude Church.
