Avon main break fixed after six hours

AVON — A water main break in a residential area kept police and the Street and Water Department tied up for almost six hours while they fixed the leak Friday.

About 5:30 p.m. Friday, police responded to Bridge Pointe Trail and state Route 611 for a water main break in the area.

The city Street and Water Department was able fix the break about 11 p.m. Friday evening.

The cause of the break hasn’t been determined, and no one was displaced from their home on Friday, according to police.
