IHOP restaurants are hoping two words will encourage customers to visit the eatery today: free pancakes.
From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., more than 1,500 IHOP restaurants across the country will serve up free short stacks of buttermilk pancakes on National Pancake Day in an effort to raise money for charity. Guest will be served the breakfast staple and are encouraged to leave a voluntary donation in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Shriners Hospitals for Children and other charities.
The goal is to raise more than $3 million nationwide.
Local IHOP restaurants are at 1160 West River Road N. in Elyria and 35846 Detroit Road in Avon.
