OBERLIN — The city has gone mobile.

City Manager Eric Norenberg introduced a new mobile app designed for the city of Oberlin during a City Council meeting Monday. The app launched during the city’s annual Culture Festival on Sept. 28, and it is available for download on iTunes.

The app is compatible with the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It contains information on the city and Oberlin College, a business directory, list of local events and local offers.

Since its inception, Norenberg said approximately 450 users downloaded the app. He said he is pleased with the launch.
