Power was out at Elyria High School for a little more than an hour Monday morning, according to Amy Higgins, the district’s communications director.
Higgins said the power went out at 9:50 a.m., and was restored by 11:10 a.m. Emergency lighting remained on the whole time, and all phones in the building remained working, she said.
Lunch was able to be served, and students moved through their normal schedule, Higgins said.
She said students and staff were excellent during the outage.
Franklin Elementary was also out partially during that time, but power has been restored there as well, Higgins said.
