Lorain blotter: Juvenile charged with unruly child offense, resisting arrest


Saturday, Sept. 14

  • 1:35 a.m. - 1400 block of Herbert Drive, juvenile boy, age and address unavailable, arrested and charged with an unruly child offense and resisting arrest. The boy’s grandmother said he cut off his electronic monitoring device. Officer Todd Hite said the boy fought with him when Hite tried to handcuff him.
  • 7:47 a.m. - 300 block of Delaware Ave., a man found lying in a driveway with no pulse. His girlfriend said he had a history of heart problems and had been drinking heavily.
  • 4:07 p.m. - 1600 block of E. 29th St., a resident said her apartment was burglarized between 10 p.m. and 3 p.m. with entry through a cut screen in a living room window. About $100 in CDs and DVDs were stolen, she said.

Sunday, Sept. 15

  • 05:01 a.m. - 400 block of Ninth St., a woman said she jumped out of a second-floor window to commit suicide after an argument with her boyfriend. Paramedics said the women told them she had been smoking crack cocaine earlier. The woman was hospitalized at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
