Avon crime watch: Police say woman got out of car to yell at slow driver

10:15 a.m. Sept. 11 — state Route 83, Kimberly Fox, 58, cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly getting out of her vehicle and yelling at a woman for driving slowly. Police said Fox was stopped at Route 83 and Bentley Park, and she was restricting the movements of another vehicle.

Thursday, Sept. 5

  • 11 a.m. — 4700 block Center Road, reported theft of refuse containers.

Saturday, Sept. 7 

  • 6:55 p.m. — 32000 block Detroit Road, an employee at Winking Lizard reported that she was assaulted by another employee.

Monday, Sept. 9

  • 9:42 a.m. — Interstate 90, a caller reported that a woman in the back seat of a white Buick was holding a towel to her head, and she appeared to be covered in blood. Westlake police stopped the car near Crocker Park.
  • 11:32 a.m. — 2500 block Berkshire Avenue, reported theft of paint and a paint sprayer.
  • 3:09 p.m. — 36500 block Chester Road, report of a suspicious man, who appeared to be lost, wearing the same clothes for the past four days. The man left before police arrived.

Tuesday, Sept. 10

  • 2:11 a.m. — 36700 block Mills Road, a caller reported that an intoxicated woman was passed out in the yard. The woman was given a ride there by a man, who believed the homeowner knew the woman. The intoxicated woman was reportedly drinking at Mulligan’s that night.
  • 1:37 p.m. — 36000 block Chester Road, an employee at Circle K said a male and a female entered the store, opened a bag of chips and threw the chips away without paying. The suspects were located later, and they said the nacho cheese machine wasn’t working so they threw the chips away. They said they didn’t believe they did anything wrong, because the employee didn’t confront them. The two were asked to pay for the chips.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

  • 9:33 a.m. — 37400 block Carleen Ave., a man was taken to the hospital for reportedly drinking heavily for three days. Police said the man had knee issues from a prior injury and he had been falling down due to his intoxication.
  • 5:45 p.m. — 35800 block Detroit Road, Jose Villanueva, 23, charged with petty theft and possession of criminal tools for allegedly cutting tags off video games at Target. Villanueva was ordered not to return to Target, or he would be charged with criminal trespass.
