Accused molester tells teens the Illuminati will pay for consensual sex

ELYRIA — An Elyria man facing felony gross sexual imposition charges allegedly tried to convince the two teenage girls he’s accused of molesting that they would receive money from the Illuminati if they consented to sexual relations with him, according to court documents filed this week.

It also isn’t the first time Nelson Torres, 36, was accused of using the shadowy — and largely believed to be nonexistent — organization favored by conspiracy theorists to entice women into sexual relations, Assistant Lorain County Prosecutor Chris Pierre wrote.

In the most recent case, Nelson is accused of propositioning a teenage girl he knew in December by telling her that they could join a secret group, which he called the Illuminati, and earn points by performing tasks, Pierre wrote.

Nelson also told the girl that “the more points, the more money,” according to the court documents. When the teen asked if it was illegal, Nelson said it wasn’t, but that she “would have to go out of her comfort zone,” Pierre wrote.

He allegedly began to touch her before the girl asked him if he planned to rape her. When he didn’t reply, the teen reported she told him she no longer wanted to participate, got up and left.

The teen then went to see her sister, who told her that Nelson had made similar advances to her that included earning points from a secret group and Nelson touching her in a sexual manner, Pierre wrote.

Jeff Brown, Nelson’s defense attorney, said his client denies that he touched either girl and added that one of the alleged victims has since recanted her story.

Nelson was convicted of soliciting in 2003 in Lorain Municipal Court for trying to convince a woman seeking a job at a pizzeria he managed that she could earn $10,000 and receive help with a child custody dispute if she earned “points.”

The woman set up a meeting with Nelson, who arrived to find a Lorain police officer instead.

Nelson, who faces misdemeanor sexual imposition charges in the current case in addition to the felony charges, is free on bond.
