Tuesday, July 2

2:22 a.m.— 400 block Berry Ridge, Amherst Township, deputies were dispatched in reference to a 17-year-old male who was caught attempting to break into vehicles and was taken into custody by citizens. He was charged as a delinquent child by reason of criminal mischief and criminal trespassing.

Wednesday, July 3

9:29 a.m.— 16000 block state Route 83, Grafton Township, Grafton Auto, theft of tools valued at $3,500.

5:46 p.m.— 48000 block Stick Road, Brownhelm Township, theft of two televisions and a laptop computer, total value $2,500.

Friday, July 5

3:56 p.m.— 23000 Emmons Road, Columbia Township, theft of a Smith & Wesson handgun, LCD television and costume jewelry, total value $1,810.

Thursday, July 11

7:01 a.m.— 1400 block East Avenue, Carlisle Township, Marathon, theft of cigarettes, total value $378.20.

Sunday, July 14

5:50 p.m.— 1600 block E. 30th St., a mother watched and allowed her 15-year-old daughter engage in a fight with another teenage girl in order for the two to “settle their differences” over a boy. A third teenage girl walked across the street and began to break up the fight, but the mother intervened and told the girl to leave. The girl didn’t listen and tried to break up the fight again. The mother told the girl once again to leave and the girl then punched the mother at the scene. The mother then called 911.

Friday, July 19

3:30 a.m.— 1800 block Homewood Drive, two men were inside an elevator when a third man entered. The third man informed the two men that if they “ever turn (him) in to management again, he would show them how a real man acts.” He then told the men that if they turned him in again, he was going to shoot them. The two men said they turn him in to management because he “continually breaks the rules.”

9:26 a.m.— 1600 block E. 31st St., report of an unwanted guest inside the home. The guest was told to leave, but he became upset and kicked in the back screen door. A man, who did not want to be part of the situation and sat in the living room, stated the unwanted and intoxicated guest spent an unknown amount of time in the home being destructive. The guest broke dishes on the kitchen floor; dented the stove; and “busted a leg off an end table.” No charges have been filed.

7:47 p.m. — 2400 block Reid Ave., runaway reported.

8:20 p.m. — 2820 Meister Road, car vandalized.

9:29 p.m. — East 36th Street and Glove Avenue, Lamarr Barlow, 21, Sheffield, cited for fictitious plates.

10:54 p.m. —1900 block Tait Ave., prescription medication and camera stolen during burglary.

11:29 p.m. — East 28th Street and Globe Avenue, Mark Kately II, 47, East 32nd Street, charged with driving under suspension.

11:51 p.m. — 1500 block Lehigh Ave., car vandalized.

Saturday, July 20

1:15 a.m. — East 28th Street and Denver Avenue, Manuel Rodriguez, 48, 600 block W. 22nd St., driving in marked lanes, driving under suspension and DUI.

2:35 a.m. — 3680 block Pearl Ave., Dale’s Sport’s Bar, reported fight in parking lot

3:38 a.m. — 2200 block E. 30th St., Johnnie Moore Jr., 26, 3700 block Tacoma Ave., charged with domestic violence; Raelonda Moore, 32, 2200 block E. 30th St., charged with obstructing official business.

4:06 a.m. — 2200 block Crehore St., television, gaming systems, shotgun stolen during burglary.

Thursday, July 18

12:14 p.m.— 1000 block Chestnut Commons, Wal-Mart, a security officers advised that he noticed Debra Gibson, 36, 39000 block Hope Court, Elyria, allegedly put items into two baby diaper bags. He advised there was pizza, soap, lemonade, etc. for a total of 27 items. The security officer advised that Gibson attempted to leave the store passing through the checkout stand. She was then stopped and taken to the security office. Gibson was cited for theft and was escorted off the property.

4:33 p.m.— 1000 block Fowl Road, a man said he placed several items into a mail crate and set it in the hall outside of his apartment. A short time later he noticed that all but one of the packages was missing, so he assumed that the mail carrier had picked up the items. However, when he went outside, he noticed that the mail carrier was just pulling into his parking lot. When asked if the carrier had picked up the items, she advised she had not. The man stated that he then thought of the maintenance workers may have set the packages in a storage closet outside his apartment door. However, he was advised that nothing had been moved by any of the staff. The total value of the items stolen was approximately $346.46. There were no known witnesses or any suspects to the incident.

6:35 p.m.— Elyria police department lobby, a woman arrived at the station stating that she recently learned that someone opened a Verizon phone account using her name and personal information. The account was opened at a Verizon store in Cleveland on Jan. 31, 2013. The account balance was $1,217.58 which included a Samsung Galaxy Note II phone and one month of usage. There have been no payments on the account and the account is currently closed.

Friday, July 19

3:25 a.m.— 38000 block Chestnut Ridge Road, officers were dispatched to the area of Dewhurst and Chestnut Ridge roads for a report of three “juveniles walking” in the area. Officers arrived and located one of the subjects who appeared to be staggering. When officers approached the man, later identified as Gregory Kall, 26, 26000 Strawberry Lane, Westlake, he immediately took off running. Kall was eventually located in a small wooded area. Kall advised officers that he “didn’t want to go to jail for public intoxication” and apologized for running. According to the police report, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitted from Kall’s person. Kall’s speech was “thick and slurred” and his shorts were “around his knees exposing his genitals.” Kall also hid a backpack in the wooded area that contained cocaine, marijuana, unknown white pills, metal pipe and $5.73 of loose change. Kall was arrested on an original warrant for felonious assault in reference to another case; and he was charged with drug abuse-cocaine, drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business. He was issued citations for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

8:56 a.m. — 800 block Rosewood Drive, car windshield smashed.

9:58 a.m. — 800 block Bond St., Rusty Conrad, 23, same address, charged with domestic violence.

10:43 a.m. — 100 block Park Meadow Drive., threats reported.

10:59 a.m. — 600 block Broad St., prescription medication, sunglasses and cell phone reported stolen from car.

12:02 p.m. — 1800 block Middle Ave., fraud reported.

12:17 p.m. — 300 block Cambridge Ave., Dominique Bell, 21, same address, charged with domestic violence by threats and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

2:48 p.m. — 800 block Rosewood Drive., boy reported missing.

Saturday, July 20

12:23 a.m. — 600 block East Ave., Jonathon Graham, 40, same address, charged with possession of marijuana and arrested on outstanding warrant.

2:22 a.m. — 200 block Eagle Circle, warrant on felonious assault and violating a protection order issued for William T. Lockett after he allegedly attacked an ex-girlfriend and held a knife to her throat.

3:17 a.m. — 900 block Gulf Road, Kevin Sabo, 26, 900 block Rosewood Drive, charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.
