Friday, June 14

2:30 p.m. — 100 block Bell Ave., a man reported that his food stamp card had been stolen and $645 in purchases had been made with it. The man suspected a family friend staying at the home had taken the card.

2:41 p.m. — 1800 block Midway Boulevard, a store manager at Conrad’s Tire reported that a gate leading to scrap tire storage was damaged. He could not confirm any tires were missing as they are not inventoried. Police discovered the gate at Firestone Tire had been cut as well.

4 p.m. — 100 block Taft Ave., a woman told police that her mother’s Rascal Electric Chair was stolen from her home. The woman suspected a family friend staying at the home had taken the chair. That person was gone in the morning when the chair was discovered to be missing.

Thursday, June 13

2:45 p.m. — 2000 block W. Erie Ave., a man reported that several tools were stolen from a home he was working on after he fired a foreman.

9:10 p.m. — 3400 block Garfield Blvd., Rae Coleman, 47, 300 block Kentucky Ave., arrested and charged with burglary. An acquaintance of Coleman told police Coleman entered her unlocked home without her permission and yelled at her regarding a call to Children Services. Coleman admitted to being at the home, but she said she was invited.
