7:05 p.m. — 100 block Louisiana Ave., theft of a mortar mixer from a yard.
8:50 p.m. — Cedar Brook Drive, Daniel Smith, 58, 100 block Chelsee Place, arrested and charged with disorderly conduct persisting. Officers were sent to the 100 block Chelsee Place for an unwanted guest complaint and found a vehicle in the middle of the road. Police said the driver and the unwanted guest, Smith, yelled profanities to officers and refused to provide his identification, saying, “F--- you, you worthless pigs in a suit.” Smith’s son told police that Smith hates the police, is bipolar and hadn’t taken his medicine in four days.
Tuesday, June 4
2:10 a.m. — Cleveland Street and Perry Court, Scott Pierce Jr., 19, 800 block Broad St., issued a summons for prohibitions. Police stopped Pierce for failing to yield and said he smelled of alcohol. Pierce admitted to drinking four beers, although he was underage.
Sunday, June 2
5:46 p.m. — 1700 block Washington Ave., Raymond Wannamaker, 42, 1000 block W. 18th St., arrested and charged with obstructing official business and possession of marijuana. Police said Wannamaker got in the way of a police officer and refused to comply with orders during an investigation of a menacing complaint. Officers were called to the area two more times for complaints between neighbors.
Monday, June 3
3 p.m. — 1200 block W. 12th St., Rosario Zapata, 30, same address, issued a summons for farm animal prohibited. Police said Zapata was keeping three roosters behind her garage. Zapata told police they were being kept for a man in Puerto Rico and would be removed Tuesday.
3:30 p.m. — 1500 block Herbert Drive, a woman reported that a man in a gold vehicle had been following her around the parking lot of her apartment complex in an attempt to speak with her several times, and on Sunday she noticed that someone keyed a derogatory word into the side of her car. She did not know if the incidents were related.
4:28 p.m. — 2900 block Grove Ave., officers forcefully entered a home to check for a decaying body after an anonymous complaint that there were several flies in the window. Police said the building owner arrived at the scene and the property was checked, but there were no signs of a body and nothing to explain the flies.
5:30 p.m. — 4200 block Oberlin Ave., theft of a commercial air conditioning unit and damage to pipes at Diso’s Bistro.
7:16 p.m. — 1900 block Tait St., a woman reported that her neighbor was standing naked in front of the window while she was walking her dogs nearby. She said it wasn’t the first time that the man, who is a registered sex offender, had purposefully stood naked in the window.
7:56 p.m. — 1900 block Garden Ave., a maintenance worker reported that several copper pipes were stolen from the basement, causing a leak. The tenant, who moved out May 30, said he believed a neighbor was responsible for the theft because they had issues in the past and the neighbor knew the home was vacant.
10:13 p.m. — 1100 block W. 29th St., a student at St. Peter School said a boy in her class made derogatory comments to her and then threatened to shoot her. The girl’s mother said the principal was notified and the boy received detention, but her child was afraid to go to school because of the escalating situation.

7:58 a.m. — King Street, resident reports theft of GPS unit from van.
9:28 a.m. — State Route 58, police responded to report of erratic driver. She was taken to EMH Elyria Medical Center for a psychiatric situation.
10:57 p.m. — West College Street, police respond to a complaint about a male causing a disturbance at Gibson’s Food and Bakery. The man was told to leave the store or he could be charged with trespass.
Tuesday, May 21
5:36 a.m. — Oberlin Road, police investigated a report of a car without tail lights and charged Roy L. Jackson Jr., 45, of Oberlin, with driving under a license forfeiture suspension, not wearing a seat belt and possession of marijuana.
9:25 a.m. — Eric Nord Way, police investigated the theft of an Apple Macbook Pro 13-inch computer.
2:20 p.m. — State Route 58 and U.S. Route 20, Donathan L. Herron, 38, of North Ridgeville, charged with theft and Troy A. George, 39, of Elyria, charged with complicity in theft of televisions from Wal-Mart. Witnesses followed the get-away car in order to help police, according to a report.
9:59 p.m. — 200 block Goldsmith Lane, man reported being robbed in his apartment at gunpoint by two males. A computer, speakers and cell phone were stolen.
Saturday, June 1
11:38 p.m. — West Vine Street, Dewayne Sturtevant, 60, of Oberlin, was rescued from the creek in Wright Park by the Fire Department after passerby saw him in the water. He told police he had been in the water three hours after being assaulted at knifepoint, robbed and thrown over the bridge. He appeared intoxicated and police said he gave varying statements about the amount he had been drinking and what had happened.
