Wednesday, May 15

11:48 a.m. — 24000 block Smith Road, Wellington Township, a steel cart, rifle, GPS, gun case and air pistol were found in a field.

Thursday, May 23

7:48 p.m. — 4800 block O’Neil Boulevard, Sheffield Township, theft of a laptop valued at $899.

Friday, May 24

10:45 a.m. — 41000 block Lawrence Court, Elyria Township, theft of 10 dinner plates valued at $25.

Saturday, May 25

11:28 p.m. — 4000 block Santina Way, a woman reported that she was attacked by a 6-foot, 2-inch man with muscular build while taking a dog for a walk in the Camden Ridge development. Officers searched the area but could not locate anyone.

Sunday, May 26

1:08 a.m. — 2000 block E. 39th Street, a woman agreed to let another woman stay at her residence as a roommate. However, after she learned that the woman’s boyfriend is a registered sex offender, she told the woman the man could not visit the house because there is a child living inside the home. The woman agreed to not move in, but the homeowner soon began receiving threats from the woman on her Facebook page, telling her she “better watch her kids because she has set up a drive by of her house.” The woman could not be located.

7:10 p.m. — 5000 block Leavitt Road, Super K, loss prevention officer witnessed two juveniles take two Alphaline ear buds; Sony ear buds; and peanut butter MMs, valued at $45.

9:20 p.m. — 2000 block Washington Street, Juan Cabrera Sr., 2000 block South Jefferson Street, Lorain, was charged with domestic violence after a fight over him using a plastic cup progressed. The woman at the home stated that every time Cabrera visits her house, he uses a plastic cup and either takes the cup or loses it. She was upset because she no longer has matching cups.

Monday, May 27

12:58 a.m. — Meister Road, Lee Gelb, 45, 400 block Driftwood Drive, Lorain, was charged with OVI, speed, reckless operation, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and implied consent after a traffic stop.

2:18 a.m. — 1000 block Oaktree Street, Lynna Donofrio, 43, 7000 block South Oaktree, Lorain, was charged with disturbing the peace after officers found her walking in the middle of North Oaktree screaming profanities. Officers returned to the area at 2:23 a.m. and found Donofrio inside the garage pounding and kicking the door to the residence.

Tuesday, May 14

12:49 a.m. — Liberty Avenue, a driver arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, no name given. Two passengers were given a courtesy ride.

Wednesday, May 15

7:29 p.m. — Langfitt Street and West River Road, a resident reported damage to his vehicle after a juvenile threw rocks and dirt at the car while he was sitting at a stop sign.

7:48 p.m. — 5700 block Liberty Ave., a mother reported that a neighbor was supplying marijuana to her child and another juvenile. Police said the investigation is ongoing as not all the people involved are local residents.

Thursday, May 16

2:37 a.m. — Liberty Avenue, a driver arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving under suspension, no name given. Police said during a search of the vehicle, a marijuana pipe was found with suspected marijuana residue in it.

8:21 a.m. — 700 block Arlington Drive, a man reported an item was missing from his house after he returned home from vacation.

3:17 p.m. — 4600 block Liberty Ave., during an underage tobacco survey at numerous local businesses, a 16-year-old informant was able to purchase smokeless tobacco from BP/Mickey Mart.

10:33 p.m. — 5100 block Liberty Ave., police arrested the primary aggressor of a physical fight at Quaker Steak and Lube after they found him trying to hide under a vehicle. The person was charged with assault, no name given.

Friday, May 17

4:22 p.m. — 500 block Hazelwood Ave., theft of a wooden 8-foot ladder from a garage.

Saturday, May 18

1:03 a.m. — 5100 block Liberty Ave., officers were sent to Smolka Bridge after a vehicle crashed into it and the driver attempted to leave the scene of the accident. Police said the driver was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center for injuries and later charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, failure to control and seatbelt violation, no name given.
