Wednesday, May 1

8:07 a.m. — 100 block Water St., reported theft of a bicycle from the front porch of a home.

12:05 p.m. — 300 block 13th St., theft of a 12-gauge shotgun from a residence. Police said the burglar entered the home through a window. The homeowner came home to find several of his televisions had been moved to the porch.

1:08 p.m. — 300 block Furnace St., a man reported that mouthwash had been poured over several of his electronics and he wanted to press charges against the person responsible. Police did not list the name of the suspect.

1:50 p.m. — 400 block Cleveland St., Alfred McCoy Jr., 31, 600 block Purdue Ave., issued a summons for drug abuse instruments. Joshua McDaniel, 29, 8900 block Murray Ridge Road, arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs — heroin, possession of drugs — heroin, possessing drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia. McDaniel was arrested in the parking lot of CVS. Elyria police Capt. Chris Costantino said an investigation is under way, and he could release no further details.

LaGrange police

Wednesday, April 24

1:30 a.m. — Steven Marrero, 23, Lorain, was charged with vandalism after damaging a police cruiser. According to police, Marrero bit and ripped off a microphone for the in-car video system.

3:45 p.m. — 300 block Opportunity Way, assault complaint.

Thursday, April 25

1:02 p.m. — 100 block Parklane Drive, officers were dispatched to a residence for a domestic situation. Gerald Camp, 46, LaGrange, was charged with domestic violence.

Saturday, April 27

10:03 p.m. — 200 block E. Prospect St., a resident complained that a juvenile boy was on her porch, knocking on the door in attempt to speak with her daughter. The caller advised that the boy refused to leave. When officers arrived, the boy ran away, through the backyard and was found hiding under a tree. The boy was advised to not return to the residence and was released to his mother.

11 p.m. — 200 block Pleasant St., a female was causing a disturbance after she refused to exit a vehicle.

Tuesday, April 30

4:50 p.m. — 300 block E. Main St., a juvenile girl was heard arguing with her father because he took away her iPad.

Tuesday, April 23

5:16 p.m. — Main Street, a woman advised that another woman was watching her pick up her children from daycare. The woman then approached the mother of the children. Nothing evolved, but the mother wanted the incident on file.

8:39 p.m. — Cleveland Street, garbage burning behind the old foundry.

Wednesday, April 24

4:08 a.m. — 1000 block Sunshine Court, a woman told officers she was in her bedroom and heard a noise somewhere in the house, and she was afraid to leave the room. Officers arrived and everything checked out OK.

9:34 a.m. — Willow Park, officers requested extra patrol in the park after someone tried to set a picnic table on fire.

Thursday, April 25

2:05 a.m. — 1000 block Timber Trail, a woman called after an alarm was activated in her house. She told officers her husband was checking the house, but neither thought anyone was inside the house. A few minutes later, the woman called the police department to notify them that something fell off the wall in the bathroom and everything was OK.

4:35 p.m. — 800 block Mechanic St., piles of mud were in the roadway.

Monday, April 29

9:26 a.m. — Chestnut Street, a child was seen climbing through the garage window.

7:23 p.m. — South Main Street, Reservoir Park, officers were advised that there were unleashed dogs running around chasing geese. The dog owners were advised of the leash laws.

8:03 p.m. — 1000 block Elm St., officers found an open window on the second floor of the old school. The caretaker advised that the windows opens sometimes when a train drives by due to the vibration.
