LORAIN — Durling Middle School Principal Jerome Davis has been named Clearview Schools interim superintendent.
Davis will succeed Superintendent Stanley Mounts, who is leaving March 29.
Davis, who has been with the district for about seven years, will continue as principal while superintendent, according to Eddie Cozell, Board of Education president.
Cozell said board members are interviewing several superintendent candidates this week and hope to name a new superintendent within 30 days.
Cozell said Davis is certified to be a superintendent and will be paid 25 percent of Mount’s daily salary in addition to the $89,323 Davis earns annually. Mounts earns $107,000 annually.
