ELYRIA — An Elyria man with six drunken driving convictions was arrested and charged with drunken driving around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
Arthur McCall was found sleeping in his car at a green light at the intersection of Lorain Boulevard and Foster Avenue, police said. They said McCall smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot and glassy eyes.
The first conviction for McCall, 37, was in 1997. The last was in April.
McCall refused to take a field sobriety test, but did submit a blood sample, police said. The results are pending. McCall, of the 300 block of Morgan Avenue, was charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to control and failure to wear a seat belt.
