LORAIN — The suspect in the robbery of the at 5971 Leavitt Road around 1:45 p.m. today may have been involved in Tuesday robbery of an Ohio Savings Bank in Garfield Heights.
Special Agent Vicki Anderson, a spokeswoman with the FBI’s Cleveland office, said the man in the Lorain robbery matches the description of the Garfield Heights suspect.
In the Lorain robbery, the man entered the bank and pointed a pistol at a teller, according to police Detective Brian Denman. The man drove off in a silver sports utility vehicle, possibly a Mercedes, driving north on Leavitt towards Lorain.
No one was hurt.
In a surveillance photo, the man, who is white and in his 20s or 30s, was wearing sunglasses, an orange and white baseball cap and a brown fleece sweater.
