12:12 p.m. — 100 block West Ave., a woman reported that her vehicle’s rear license plate was stolen from her vehicle that was parked in the driveway of her Barbara Street home.
2:26 p.m. — 800 block S. Logan St., police said the door of a vacant home was forced open, but nothing was reported missing. A repairman was called to secure the door.
6:15 p.m. — 200 block 14th St., theft of several firearms and a television during a home burglary. Police said the burglar fed lunch meat from the refrigerator to the homeowner’s dog.
9:24 p.m. — 600 block East River St., police met with the victim of an assault who was at EMH Elyria Medical Center. The man told police he was assaulted by an acquaintance near the Elyria Public Library, at 320 Washington Ave. The assault occurred after the attacker, who was not named by police, asked the man if he or she could live at his house.
Friday, Dec. 14
11:14 a.m. — 1700 block Lorain Boulevard. Police arrest Victoria Perkins, 25, of Elyria, with interference of custody after she is found in a motel with a 15-year-old boy reported as a runaway. The police report did not detail the relationship between Perkins and the juvenile
3:02 p.m. — 100 block Cascade St., woman reports a prescription bottle with 90 Soma pills was taken from her car.
5:22 p.m. — 1000 block Chestnut Commons Drive, police arrest Rhianna Scott, 18, of North Ridgeville, and Marshall Pitts, 18, of Lorain, on charges of theft-shoplifting.
9:52 p.m. — 300 block Fourth St., police arrest Jason Allen Bright, 36, Elyria, on an outstanding warrant through Elyria Municipal Court. Police came to the apartment because Bright was reportedly an unwanted guest of the resident.
Saturday, Dec. 15
4:02 a.m. — 900 block Lorain Boulevard, police arrest Douglas S. McCray, 39, of Fairfield, on an outstanding contempt of court warrant after going to the location for a car driving over the median call.
Thursday, Dec. 13
3:22 p.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., a woman told police several of her checks were stolen and written out to a man she does not know for a total of $850. The woman suspected her housekeeper had taken the checks because the handwriting was similar.
4:19 p.m. — 1300 block Ashland Ave., police were sent to investigate a compost fire which a 13- to 14-year-old boy was seen running away from.
5:27 p.m. — 2800 block Fulmer Road, a woman told police she was receiving threats from a friend of her mentally handicapped son, who she believed was taking advantage of her son for his Supplemental Security Income checks.
