Saturday, Sept. 15

3:39 p.m. — 16000 block Wheeler Road, LaGrange, Adam Pleska, 37, 42000 block Dellefield Road, Elyria Township, arrested and charged with criminal damaging and domestic violence. Pleska’s estranged wife, who said she is divorcing him, and a man who was shoeing horses for her said Pleska made death threats, kicked his wife’s car door and keyed the man’s pickup. Pleska denied causing a disturbance and said his wife hit his shin with her car door.

Sunday, Sept. 16

4:46 p.m. — 300 block E. 45th St., Sheffield Township, Paul Felix, 45, same address, Cybrenna Kimbrough, 21, same address, each arrested and charged with domestic violence. Kimbrough, whom police said had scratches on her left shoulder and elbow, said Felix shoved her and they both fell and began to wrestle on the concrete driveway after she intervened in an argument between Felix and her mother. Kimbrough’s mother said her daughter followed Felix out of the house and punched him in the nose before the fight was broken up.

Friday, Sept. 14

6:21 a.m. — 900 block Fairwood Ave., resident said someone stole about $240 from his wallet and his wife’s purse overnight with entry into home possibly through an unlocked garage door.

Saturday, Sept. 15

2:54 a.m. — 1100 block Melvyn Lane, woman said she was visiting a female friend at the woman’s home at the above address when friend’s boyfriend came home and poked her on her breasts with a small bat and accused her of telling his girlfriend that he was dating other women. The woman said the man slapped her and threatened to shoot one of her cousins or anyone in her family. The woman signed an aggravated menacing charge against the man whom police said was not home. The woman was referred to the prosecutor’s office.

4:23 p.m. — Lorain Boulevard near Lowell Street, Monique Brooks Cochran, 39, 200 block Fourth St., Elyria, arrested and charged with obstructing official business. Police said Brooks Cochran was in the back seat of a car that was stopped because it fit the description of one used by someone in a domestic dispute. Police said Brooks Cochran was uncooperative in getting out of the car and threw herself to the ground while walking to a police cruiser and began yelling, “Look what they’ve done to me!”

Thursday, Sept. 13

7:27 p.m. — Leavitt and Meister roads, Shamol D. Johnson, 25, Sandusky, arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, failure to comply with a police officer and excessive noise from a stereo. Police Officer Eric Alten wrote in a report that he stopped the car Johnson was in for a loud stereo and Johnson failed to stop promptly. Alten wrote that he was nearly overcome by the smell of marijuana coming from the car, but Johnson said he “just smokes Black and Milds.” Alten wrote that about two grams of marijuana were found in the car and he found a bag that smelled of marijuana on Johnson, which he believed Johnson initially concealed.

Friday, Sept. 14

5:52 p.m. — 2300 block E. 30th St., Damarcus Moore, 23, 300 block E. 42nd St., Lorain, arrested and charged with burglary. Moore’s ex-girlfriend accused him of breaking into her home. Police said they found Moore in the area and grass spurs on his clothes matched those found by a broken window near the home.

6:45 p.m. — 700 block Allison Ave., a Lorain County Children Services investigator called police to help her gain custody of four young children, two of whom may have been abused by a man who is the father of one of them. The investigator was checking reports that the man may have broken the arm of the 6-year-old boy and burned his 2-month-old son on the forehead with a cigarette. The children were taken into custody by the investigator, and the man has not been charged.

10 p.m. — 1200 block W. Fifth St., resident said someone burglarized his apartment, stealing a computer, DVDs and a modem worth about $674. Police said someone appeared to have broken a door panel to unlock the door.

Saturday, Sept. 15

1:41 p.m. — New Dimension Church, 400 W. Sixth St., bicycle owner said a man he confronted at the church for interrupting his conversation with the pastor slashed two of his bicycle tires before riding off on a bicycle.

3:16 a.m. — Shak’s Corner Store, 2009 W. 21st. St., Edwin Coludro, 29, Providence, R.I., arrested and charged with domestic violence. A woman and a witness said Coludro threatened to stab the woman, brandished the knife and later followed the woman and her girlfriend to the girlfriend’s home.
