Thursday, July 26

9:45 p.m. — 2100 block Washington Ave., Anthony Carter, 38, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Carter’s girlfriend said he pushed her onto their bed and choked her. Police said Carter told them, “Whatever she said is what had happened.”

Friday, July 27

12:52 a.m. — 3900 block W. Erie Ave., Efraim Claudio, 49, no address listed, charged with domestic violence, but not arrested. Claudio’s niece, whom police said had bruising on her neck,  said he choked her while drunk. Police said Claudio was gone when they arrived at the woman’s apartment.

1:29 a.m. — Broadway and W. Fifth Street, Amy Neuhoff, 39, 3200 block Elyria Ave., Vermilion, arrested and charged with drunken driving. Police said Neuhoff drove through a red light, failed a field sobriety test and fell asleep before being arrested. Police said they found an empty bottle of vodka in Neuhoff’s purse and her car had scrapes and tree branches sticking out of the passenger headlight. Police said Neuhoff has four prior convictions for drunken driving.

4:39 a.m. — 1000 block W. Ninth St., resident said three of his car tires flattened over night. He suspects his estranged girlfriend is responsible.

7:21 a.m. — 300 block W. 25th St., garage broken into with side window smashed, three ladders stolen.

1:01 p.m. — 900 block E. 34th St., Angel T. Perez, 44, homeless, arrested and charged with assault. Luz Vazquez said she was visiting a friend and argued with Perez over him taking the friend’s car. Vazquez, whom police said had a severe laceration on the inside of her lip and collapsed from her injuries, said Perez punched her five or six times in the face and head.
