Highway Patrol IDs teen hurt in morning crash

GRAFTON TWP. — A student on the way to school was LifeFlighted following an accident this morning in Grafton Township.

According to Sgt. R. Cross of the State Highway Patrol, Tyler Pasenow, 16, was westbound on Grafton-Eastern Road about 8 a.m. when the single-vehicle accident occurred.

Cross said the Pasenow, who was driving a Mazda SUV, went off the right side of the road, then over-corrected, going off the left side of the road. The vehicle came to a rest on its top. Pasenow was treated and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Cross said he was unsure where Pasenow is a student.

Pasenow was taken by ambulance to EMH Regional Medical Center, where he was met by a LifeFlight helicopter and transferred to MetroHealth.
