Sunday, March 18

11:54 p.m. — Dairy Mart, 2802 Broadway, customer said his bicycle was stolen and he chased the man who rode it away before losing sight of him on West 29th Street.

Monday, March 19

6:59 p.m. — 4700 block Chelsea Ave., resident reported that his basement window was broken into. Nothing was taken.

8:14 p.m. — 2500 block Washington Ave., Tashay D. Edwards, 19, 100 block Spring St., arrested and charged with assault and violation of a temporary protection order. A woman, who said she has had ongoing problems with Edwards, said Edwards repeatedly punched her and ripped her shirt off.

10:05 p.m. — 1600 block E. 30th St., driver said a woman who previously dated her boyfriend threw a bicycle frame at her car. The driver said the woman then got out of her car and punched her in the face.

8:33 p.m. — 400 block of Florida Ave., resident said her apartment was burglarized and her $50 DVD player was taken.

Tuesday, March 20

8:06 p.m. — 900 block Harriet St., burglary reported. A woman reported $2,700 worth of jewelry and electronics missing. She said a sliding door had been forced open. The woman’s boyfriend said a green four-door car may be the suspect vehicle.

6:27 p.m. — 6000 block W. Erie Ave., Jasper P. Kennedy, 20, 300 block High St., Elyria, and Michael A. Jarvis, 26, 480 block W. Erie Ave., arrested and charged with breaking and entering. A complainant said the men were taking scrap from a private property. Jarvis said the men received permission to be on the property and take the scrap. Kennedy said Jarvis had told him that he received permission to be on the property. The owner of the property said he did not grant permission.

11:43 p.m. — 1800 block E. 42nd St., a woman told police she was shot with a BB gun behind the right knee in the back of her residence complex. She said she did not know who shot her.

10:44 p.m. — 1400 block Herbert Drive, a woman reported her rear license plate was stolen from her parked car.

10:56 p.m. —Missouri Avenue and Eastlawn Street, Dominique L. Thompson, 29, 2900 Grant St., arrested and charged with operating a vehicle impaired. Police said Thompson had dilated pupils and the car smelled of an intoxicating beverage. Police said a half-full can of Budweiser was on the car’s floor. Thompson said he had not been drinking. Police issued and field sobriety test and gave Thompson a citation for operating a vehicle intoxicated, no driver’s license, traffic control device and open container inside a vehicle.

11:24 p.m. — 300 block E. Erie Ave., reported burglary. A man reports that several items from his home were stolen, including $840 in cash, a 47-inch Vizio black flat-screen TV and a Wii with games. Police said the window of the man’s apartment had been pried open and a small shovel was lying nearby.

Wednesday, March 21

12:24 a.m. — West 29th Street and Reid Avenue, Christian L. McAfee, 22, 200 block W. 16th St., arrested and charged with driving under a suspended license and no lighted lights.

1:25 a.m. — 1600 block E. 30th St., Ethen C. Tumpkin, 19, 2200 block W. 21st St., arrested and charged with underage consumption.

9:43 p.m. — 3700 block Kolbe Road, man reported that his floor jack was stolen from his apartment complex porch.

7:15 p.m. — 1500 block E. 30th St., woman reported the theft of $1,500 in cash and a pair of gray high heel boots stolen.

7:37 p.m. — 300 block W. 10th St., employee reported a broken window in a home his company owns. He said copper wire was taken.

7:57 p.m. — Missouri Avenue, Juan Olivia, 34, 1200 Maple Drive, arrested and charged with criminal damaging, disorderly conduct by intoxication and disorderly conduct persisting. Olivia’s girlfriend said Olivia broke the windshield of her vehicle. Police said they took Olivia home because he had been drinking. Police said Olivia then walked into the road after being advised to stay home.

Thursday, March 22

1:05 a.m. — 1800 block E. 28th St., Manuel J. Latorre, 21, 400 block Georgia Ave., arrested and charged with disorderly conduct persisting and disorderly conduct by intoxication. A bouncer at a bar said Latorre threatened to come back with a gun after causing a disturbance at the bar. Police said Latorre continued to yell after being told to leave.

Sunday, March 18

11:50 a.m. — 100 block Chaucer Court, a woman reported that a subject entered her trailer, assaulted her two boys and stole money and drugs. The boys reported that the suspect got into a car with two other males. The woman said a bottle of Vicodin might have been stolen along with more than $700 in cash.

2:20 p.m. — 10 block West Ave., Jerry L. Gray, 54, 41000 block Elmwood Drive, arrested on a bench warrant.

Monday, March 19

12:20 a.m. — 100 block Ridge Circle, Jermaine D. Moseley, 31, 1800 block Rosemont Drive, East Cleveland, arrested for domestic violence and an outstanding bench warrant. Moseley’s wife said he was threatening via text message to kill her.

11:15 a.m. — Elyria High School, 601 Middle Ave., Joseph Huff, 18, 100 block Ridge Circle, arrested for assault. Police said security footage showed Huff punching a female classmate in the jaw, which knocked her to the ground and caused her to hit her head on the lockers. Huff said the girl’s brother had tried to fight him earlier during the week. The girl was transported to the hospital for injuries, and Huff was taken to county jail.

2:45 p.m. — 240 Market Drive, Sandra L. Thomas, 49, Cleveland, arrested for theft. Target loss prevention said Thomas walked toward the store exit with $310.88 worth of housewares without paying.

3:26 p.m. — 600 block Griswold Road, a man found the window of his green Nissan Maxima, parked at Country Inn Suites, was shattered and a rock was found on the passenger-side floor of the vehicle. A Garmin GPS, valued at approximately $250, was missing.

4:55 p.m. — 4900 Midway Mall, Luis A. Alvarado issued citation for theft. Sears loss prevention told police that Alvarado took a bottle of Perry Ellis cologne worth $53 from the store without paying.

11:48 p.m. — 100 block Williams St., Nicole Cottrell, 26, 4000 block Middle Ave., Grafton, arrested for failure to comply, operating a vehicle impaired, reckless operation, seatbelt and open container during a traffic stop. Police said Cottrell’s vehicle was speeding and struck a curb before she was pulled over. Police said she smelled of alcohol and found a partially consumed box of wine behind the driver’s seat.

Tuesday, March 20

1:40 a.m. - 800 block Allen St., Denetrius Fleming, 23, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Fleming’s boyfriend said Fleming slammed a door on him and struck him in the head with a vase during an argument. Fleming said her boyfriend has been abusive in the past and he was forcing himself into her apartment. Police said Fleming had small lacerations to her fingers and her boyfriend was bleeding from his head.

Wednesday, March 21

5:57 a.m. — 600 block Dewey Ave., Dontae R. Frost, 29, 800 block Purdue Ave., arrested and charged with felony operating a vehicle impaired and possession of crack cocaine. Police said Frost was found passed out in a vehicle blocking a driveway. Police said Frost yelled at officers and jumped at officers when they woke him. Frost was found with 0.5 grams of crack cocaine, 13.1 grams of marijuana and a large amount of cash, said police. He had four operating a vehicle while impaired convictions in six years and 34 driving suspensions on his record.

9:30 p.m. — 200 block Williams St., David W. Pinkerton, 36, 300 block of Old Furnace Street, arrested and charged with railroad vandalism, criminal trespass and impeding operation of a train. Security said Pinkerton was walking on railroad tracks wearing all black. Police said Pinkerton was found hiding in brush on the side of the tracks.

Thursday, March 22

1:30 a.m. — 100 block West Ave., Rochelle M. Harris, 37, 600 block Case Ave., arrested and charged with burglary and possession of criminal tools. Harris’s ex-fiance said Harris gained entry to his apartment by unknown means. Harris said her ex-fiance had given her a key and permitted her to stop over routinely. Police said Harris had a key and took it as evidence.

11:35 p.m. — 500 block Appomattox Court, an intoxicated man locked himself out of his house and officers had to assist him getting inside.

Sunday, March 18

1:40 a.m. — 300 block East Main St., complaint of people in apartment complex parking lot making too much noise. Officers arrived and advised them to keep it down.

Tuesday, March 20

1 a.m. — 100 block Public Square, Jon Bar-oz, 32, LaGrange, arrested for domestic violence for allegedly punching his father.

Wednesday, March 14

10:47 a.m. — Cleveland Street, windows of building shot out with slingshot.

4:59 p.m. — Shelby Court, a man requested an officer at his residence after a juvenile hit his car with basketball. There was very little damage, if any. The complainant and the juvenile’s parents worked out the situation.

8:02 p.m. — Willow Street, a woman reported seeing a man in a van. He was an insurance investigator.

Thursday, March 15

11:33 a.m. — Main Street, report of a man digging through trash. He was advised to not to return to the commercial property.

2 p.m. — Main Street, the Grafton Post Office reported that an irate man was yelling about his Sports Illustrated Magazine being wrinkled.

4:39 p.m. — Grafton-Midview Public Library, theft of a bicycle. It was eventually recovered.

Saturday, March 17

1:59 p.m. — Willow Park, caller stated that a man asked him to watch his daughter for a minute and then he got in his car and left. The father pulled in to the parking lot when the officer did. He went home for a minute and his daughter who is 9 years old was playing. There was no cause for complaint.

3:35 p.m. — Barchard Street, woman advised vehicles have been speeding down the street and she wanted more speed limit signs posted because she fears a child will get hurt.

8:32 p.m. — 1000 block Wellfleet Dr., a vehicle and house were egged. He requested extra patrol at night.

10:42 p.m. — 1000 block Woodland Chase, a vehicle and house were egged. He requested extra patrol.

Monday, March 19

12:57 p.m. — McDonald’s, a vehicle was in the parking lot with an occupant. He was using the Wi-Fi due to his Internet being out.
