Monday, Jan. 23

11:03 p.m. — 1300 block Ashland Ave., James T. Kees, 47, same address, arrested and charged with assault, disorderly conduct by intoxication and persistent disorderly conduct. The boyfriend of Kees’ wife said James Kees repeatedly punched him in the face when the boyfriend tried to break up a fight between the wife and Kees’ girlfriend.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

9:46 a.m. — 1100 block W. 23rd St., front window of home broken with a brick.

10:24 a.m. — 1200 block Fillmore Circle, Wilfredo Garcia Rodriguez Jr., 33, no address listed, charged with burglary, intimidation of a crime victim/witness, and violation of a temporary protection order, but not arrested. Garcia Rodriguez’s estranged wife said he ransacked her home, then ran away. The wife said Garcia Rodriguez was previously charged with assault after allegedly breaking the leg of their 3-month-old daughter.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

12:07a.m. — Broadway and West 21st Street, Jerome Mosley, 33, 1700 block Livingston Ave., Lorain, arrested and charged with drunken driving and having a blood-alcohol content above 0.17. Police said they found Mosley slumped over the wheel of a car and that he failed a field sobriety test. Mosley had a blood alcohol content of 0.228, nearly three times the legal limit, according to police.

12:36 a.m. — 1600 block Euclid Ave., man said he punched and repeatedly kicked by two men after being knocked down after he criticized the Baltimore Ravens while at Pali’s Nite Club at 1407 Colorado Ave., around 11:30 p.m. The man had swollen eyes and was bleeding from the nose, according to police.

North Ridgeville police

Saturday, Jan. 14

An intoxicated man who tried to get into the wrong house before winding up sleeping in one down the street was charged by North Ridgeville police. Reports said a resident in the 6300 block of Forest Park reported a drunken man attempted to enter his residence about 4 a.m. but was kept from getting inside by the homeowner. Police who responded to the scene followed footprints in the snow to another home down the street where they found Shawn R. Bergman, 29, of North Ridgeville, asleep in an upstairs room. Police said Bergman matched the description of the suspect given by the first resident. Bergman was cited for disorderly conduct by intoxication and criminal trespassing.

Monday, Jan. 16

1:58 a.m. — 9100 block of Gatestone Road, a home construction site under development by Bob Schmitt Homes, was discovered broken into by police. Tools including drills, a sawsall and a sander were reported taken. The stolen items were valued at more than $18,000, police said.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

7:48 p.m. — 6600 block of Lear-Nagle Road, Kenneth D. Arensberg, 18, of North Ridgeville, charged with assault.

Friday, Jan. 20

12:47 a.m. — 6600 block of Lear-Nagle Road, Tylor M. Carman, 19, of North Ridgeville, charged with underage consumption and disorderly conduct.

9:10 a.m. — 5064 Jaycox Road, a break-in was reported at the city’s one-room schoolhouse operated by the North Ridgeville Historical Society. Reports did not indicate what, if any items were missing or damaged.

Saturday, Jan. 21

1:35 a.m. — Center Ridge Road and Wallace Boulevard, Kyle D. Knox, 28, of Elyria, charged with speeding and driving under the influence.

2:13 a.m. — Root and Bainbridge roads, Joseph T. Brown, 30, of North Ridgeville, charged with reasonable control and driving under the influence.

Sunday, Jan. 22

11:37 p.m. — Center Ridge and Lear-Nagle roads, Terri J. Datko, 50, of North Ridgeville, charged with driving under the influence.
