Monday, Jan. 9

1:19 p.m. — 500 block Griswold Road, a man reported someone broke a window of a vacant store.

2:21 p.m. — 1800 block Turner Blvd., Darryl Brown, 29, same address, charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; and Amanda Kelly, 24, same address, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly hiding Brown from officers because he had a warrant.

2:54 p.m. — 600 block East River St., EMH Medical Center, a woman reported the theft of $350 worth of Visa gift cards that she had placed in the mail at the hospital.

7:49 p.m. — 600 block N. Abbe Road, a man reported someone stole a wheel and tire off his vehicle.

Tuesday, Jan. 10

12:53 p.m. — 500 block Case Ave., Cleveland Merritt, 37, 400 block Sixth St., charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching his girlfriend in the face and neck.

8:51 a.m. — 400 block N. Abbe Road, a woman reported that someone broke into her shed and stole a sweeper vacuum.

9:15 a.m. — 200 block Boston Ave., a man reported someone went through his unlocked vehicle and stole CDs, gloves and change.

9:34 a.m. — 500 block Cleveland St., Better Than New, a man reported someone broke the window on the west side of the building.

11:48 a.m. — 600 block Lake Ave., a woman reported her purse missing after she had stopped at a car wash. She said she may have set it on the ground.

11:54 a.m. — 200 block Fourth St., Jason Fidler, 37, New London, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

12:53 p.m. — 100 block Parmely Ave., William Ewing, 33, 600 block Weller Road, charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence for allegedly running from police.

1:41 p.m. — 200 block Market Drive, Target, William Clayton, 23, 300 block East Ave., charged with theft and possession of criminal tools for allegedly cutting the packaging from a cell phone and leaving the store without paying for it.

2:36 p.m. — 100 block Bath St., a woman reported she lost her debit card and someone made unauthorized purchases using it.

3:02 p.m. — 42200 block Albrecht Road, a man reported someone stole various items from his landscaping business.

6:59 p.m. — 100 block Longfellow St., a woman reported someone stole a pack of cigarettes from her vehicle and left a box cutter inside.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

7:26 a.m. — 36100 block of Sugar Ridge Road, a resident reports an attempted auto theft.

Friday, Jan. 6

1:07 a.m. — State Route 10 at Interstate 480, police join a chase begun by Parma police in that community who were pursuing a suspect driving westbound on Route 10. The chase continued to a private residence on Fairfield Lane, where the driver was taken into custody on domestic violence charges.

Saturday, Jan. 7

8:25 a.m. — 8949 Root Road, city maintenance workers discover filled trash bags, carpeting and other garbage dumped in a city-owned ditch at the North Ridgeville Soccer Complex. Joshua A. Liwosz, 19, of Bay Village, charged with littering and polluting and diverting water courses.
