ELYRIA — The Elyria-Lorain Broadcasting Co. has completed its sale of WNWV 107.3-FM to Akron-based Rubber City Radio Group, which will take control of the station at 12:01 a.m. Monday.
In a news release, Rubber City announced that it will broadcast holiday music through the New Year before returning the station, currently playing alternative music, to its roots, broadcasting a contemporary blend of pop, R&B and soft jazz. The station will once again be known as The Wave.
Rubber City Radio Group also owns and operates WAKR 1590-AM, WONE 97.5-FM and WQMX 94.9-FM.
Elyria-Lorain Broadcasting is a subsidiary of Lorain County Printing and Publishing, which also owns The Chronicle-Telegram, The Gazette in Medina County and four other radio stations.
