Tuesday, Aug. 9

3:40 p.m. – 300 block North Ridge Road, Lorain, Steven D. Wooten, 38, 100 block Mound St., Elyria, arrested for domestic violence for allegedly choking his sister during an argument.

Tuesday, Aug. 9

4:04 p.m. – 10 block Chestnut St., Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority reported a 32-inch flat-screen television, valued at about $200, stolen from a community room over the weekend.

5:27 p.m. – Midway Mall, Brittnay M. Benson, 21, 800 block Rosewood Drive, and Jessica Blevins, 22, North Ridgeville, both arrested for theft for allegedly stealing clothing from Macy’s.

7:17 p.m. – 200 block Howe St., Matthew W. Kirsch, 24, 1000 block Middle Ave., arrested for assault for allegedly head-butting a neighbor.

Wednesday, Aug. 10

8 a.m. – 500 block Georgetown Ave., an 85-year-old woman reported a break-in through a kitchen window and some change from a jar stolen.

8:12 a.m. – 500 block Hartford Drive, a 55-year-old woman reported that someone tried to break into her home by cutting through her screen doors, but no entry was made.

8:25 a.m. – 200 block Warden Ave., aluminum siding reported stolen from two separate unused trailers at Sommers Mobile Home Park.

8:48 a.m. – 500 block Whitman Blvd., a 64-year-old man reported that someone had broken into his attached porch and stolen his miniature Doberman pinscher.

9:04 a.m. – 6300 block Gateway Blvd., Adrienne R. Radabaugh, 36, 300 block Ninth St., charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and a juvenile male, 15, charged with unruly juvenile and obstructing official business for allegedly running away from home and hiding from police.

10:40 a.m. – 400 block Whitman Blvd., a 43-year-old woman reported a break-in to an attached porch, nothing taken.

10:44 a.m. – 400 block Wesley Ave., a 55-year-old woman reported the door kicked in to her apartment and a black bag with $11,000 in cash taken.

10:46 a.m. – 500 block Whitman Blvd., a 70-year-old man reported that someone tried to break into his home by cutting the front screen door.

11:03 a.m. – 100 block Alexander Drive, a 43-year-old man reported that someone tried to break into his dining room through the window, but nothing was taken. His daughter’s friend reported seeing a white male with short, dark hair wearing a white T-shirt running from the home.

6:33 p.m. – 2500 block Fackler Ave., a 42-year-old man reported that someone stole several tools from his attached garage, including two Bostich air nailers, a saw and a Duo-Fast stapler. The tools had a total value of $640.

12:52 p.m. – 800 block Boston Ave., a 79-year-old man reported a generator stolen from the back of his van.

Thursday, Aug. 11

12:42 a.m. – 10 block Kerstetter Way, Jonathan O. Mitchell, 26, Lorain, charged with aggravated menacing, weapons under disability, carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with evidence for allegedly threatening three men at gunpoint during an argument.

4:37 a.m. – 200 block Warden Ave., a 35-year-old woman reported her front window broken by an unknown person.

3:12 p.m. – 700 block E St., window broken for the second time in several weeks.

Monday, Aug. 8

10:46 p.m. – 3400 block Lincoln St., woman said she was confronted in her living room by ex-boyfriend who she said entered through an unlocked front door, choked her and threw her to the ground.

Tuesday, Aug, 9

1:45 p.m. – 1400 block W. 12th St., house burglarized with entry through the kitchen window, television and 20 Xbox games with total value of $503 stolen.

7:58 p.m. – 1800 block E. 33rd St., Earl S. Stanley, 18, 300 block E. 21st St., charged with domestic violence, but not arrested, for allegedly threatening to blow up his aunt’s house with her in it after accusing her of not paying him money he said she owes him.

Wednesday, Aug. 10

6:33 a.m. – 1500 W. 12th St., red 1994 Chevrolet Blazer with keys left on front seat stolen from in front of owner’s residence.

7:24 a.m. – 2800 block W. Erie Ave., $1,800 worth of tools, paint and a portable stereo stolen from vacant house contractor was repairing, front door kicked in.

10:24 a.m. – 1900 block E. 29th St., Melissa S. Mercado, 30, same address, Lorain, issued summons for animal bites after a cable company installer said Mercado’s St. Bernard bit his left thumb. Police said Mercado was ordered to keep the dog quarantined for 10 days.

10:57 a.m. – 1800 block Wallace Lane, $1,500 worth of copper piping stolen from basement of vacant home. No signs of forced entry.

12 p.m. – 1500 block Main Ave., four bulletholes and two spent rounds found on side of house by homeowner who discovered them while mowing his lawn.

3:26 p.m. – 300 block Oberlin Ave., television and video game with total value of $1,150 stolen from home. No sign of forced entry. Resident says she thinks she knows who thief is.

7 p.m. – Washington Avenue and West 17th Street, Sherman J. Ward Jr., 24, 1400 block W. 20th St., Lorain, arrested and charged with having a weapon under disability, improperly handling firearms in a vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to signal a turn. Police say they found a revolver and about an ounce of marijuana in the car Ward was driving during a traffic stop.

7:26 p.m. – 4100 block Washington Ave., tires slashed on two cars, one of the cars was also keyed.

8:47 p.m. – 1900 block Washington Ave., Xbox systems and games worth $420 stolen from home which homeowner said was secured. Homeowner said he thinks he knows who the thief is but didn’t want to give police a name.

11:04 p.m. – 1800 block Hamilton Ave., Anthony Geiger Jr., no age or address listed, charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and obstructing official business for allegedly selling marijuana to a man in a car and then running from police Officer Michael Gidich who had to restrain Geiger, according to Gidich’s incident report.

11:57 p.m. – 2000 block E. 29th St., woman says boyfriend punched her in the eye and stole $20 from her purse.

Thursday, Aug. 11

4:26 a.m. – 5600 block Edgewood Drive, Christian A. Cosme, 18, 1500 block W. 44th St., Lorain, charged with fleeing police, reckless driving, drunken driving and underage drinking after allegedly fleeing police in a car at a high speed and crashing. Police said Cosme registered a 0.095 blood alcohol content on a Breathalyzer test.

1:30 p.m. – West 11th Street and Brownell Avenue, Demetrius Jackson, 18, 1300 block W. Ninth St., arrested and charged with obstructing official business and receiving stolen property for allegedly running from police and hiding a stolen computer.

Saturday, Aug. 6

7:58 p.m. — 100 block Keywood Blvd., LaGrange, Darryl Bishop, 50, same address, was charged with inducing panic, making false alarms and disorderly conduct persisting.

Monday, Aug. 8

12:10 p.m. — 300 block Liberty, a resident arrived at the police station to report that during the night someone slashed the tires on her vehicle and threw eggs at her house. Extra patrol was given to her neighborhood.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

7:51 p.m. — Wellfleet, two pocket knives were found and turned over to the Police Department.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

9:46 p.m. — 1000 block State St., a man reported that another man was throwing items around a house and he was concerned for his daughter’s safety because she is pregnant. The man eventually left the house and went to work.

Thursday, Aug. 4

7:12 a.m. — 900 block Chestnut, a woman reported that her soon-to-be ex-husband arrived at her residence and punched a hole in the door.

Sunday, Aug. 7

10:35 a.m. — 1000 block Woodland Chase, man reported that someone broke into his vehicle over night and stole some of his property.

Monday, Aug. 8

12:01 a.m. — 1000 block Scituate Court, a couple reported that when they arrived home after been gone for a couple of days they noticed wine and beer in their garage and upon entering the home they could see that drawers were pulled out and that people had been in their house. No valuables were missing other than the alcohol and a pill bottle with some “50-cent pieces.”
