6:17 p.m. — 2000 block McKinley Ave., Sheffield Township, David A. Yuhos, 51, and Justin R. Yuhos, 18, same address, charged with domestic violence.

6:29 p.m. — 35100 Elm Road, Eaton Township, Stephen C. Harrison, 49, Grafton, charged with domestic violence.

Saturday, July 30

12:30 a.m. — 300 block Ninth St., 15-year-old boy arrested and charged with obstructing official business and underage drinking for allegedly running from police after the report of a fight in the area. Police said after being caught, the boy took a portable breath test and had a .182 blood-alcohol content. In Ohio, anyone younger than 21 with a BAC of .002 or higher is considered impaired.

12:43 a.m. — Mardi Gras Lounge, 100 Washington Ave., James A. Taylor, 48, and Misty Taylor, 37, both of Cleveland, each charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after allegedly refusing to leave the area around the bar, then cursing officers and scuffling with officers as they were being handcuffed.

1:11 a.m. – 200 Rhode Island Drive, Gregory Murphy, no age or address listed, charged with menacing by stalking and violation of a temporary protection order for allegedly sending his ex-girlfriend at least 90 text messages, hanging around her home and trying to get her to get into his car.

10:10 a.m. – 100 block W. Bridge St., three underage teenage boys arrested and charged with criminal damaging for allegedly breaking windows in a vacant house.

10:38 a.m. – Best Buy, 6650 Midway Mall, unlocked pickup with keys left on the floorboard stolen from parking lot.

11:44 a.m. – Sears, 4900 Midway Mall, Eric A. Rodano, 29, 100 block Fairfield Road, Avon Lake, charged with theft for allegedly shoplifting a $330 mixer. Police said Rodano was captured on surveillance video stealing the mixer and they found him in the parking lot wrestling with store security guards.

2:39 p.m. – 1100 block Melvyn Ave., Delmarie Walker, 24, 1100 block Melvyn Lane, Elyria, charged with domestic violence for allegedly hitting the father of her 2-week-old son with a phone after accusing him of infidelity.

3:40 p.m. – Middle Avenue and 16th Street, Shane Burgess, 25, 12000 block Grafton Road, Dallas D. Meinhold, 23, Cleveland, each arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they found about 2½ ounces of marijuana in the car the men were in during a traffic stop.

8:01 a.m. — 1300 block East Ave., Clyde Anderson, 20, 300 block East Ave., charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening to break down a woman’s apartment door and break the windows on her vehicle.

8:11 a.m. — 700 block Finwood Court, burglary reported, window screens torn off, nothing taken.

9:21 a.m. — 100 block Garvin Ave., driver’s side, passenger side and rear windshield of a vehicle reported shattered.

12:42 p.m. — 800 block Thornwood Blvd., $3,000 worth of items reported stolen from a home, including jewelry, a jewelry box, two monitors, a Nintendo Wii video game system, six games, a flat-screen television and a laptop.

2:21 p.m. — Midway Mall, Mike A. Dempsey, 37, 100 block Riverside Court, charged with robbery and possessing criminal tools, for allegedly stealing 11 Wii video games from Sears.

4:36 p.m. — 100 block Beebe Ave., Tynisha L., Johnson, 35, same address, cited for not having vicious dog insurance for a loose pit bull-Labrador mix.

6:17 p.m. — 700 Fairwood Blvd., window of a home reported shattered by a BB shot.

7:56 p.m. — East Avenue and Pronesti Lane, Clarence W. Smith, 45, 100 block Dilworth St., charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

8:46 p.m. — Stanford and Warren avenues, Sean L. Brown, 34, 500 block Delaware Ave., charged with domestic violence, for allegedly striking a woman in the face.

9:49 p.m. — 300 block Market Drive, Michael D. Bair, 50, Cleveland, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a 20-ounce can of beer from Giant Eagle.

1:51 a.m. — 200 block Mockingbird Lane, two tires of a vehicle reported slashed.

11:23 p.m. — 100 block Eady Court, black mountain bike reported stolen.

12:19 p.m. — 300 block East River St., PlayStation 3, two controllers and five games reported stolen from a home.

12:19 p.m. — 500 block Stanford Ave., man reported wiring $3,000 to Brooklyn, N.Y., and Cincinnati in “prize fees” in order to claim a Mercedes Benz he’d been told he’d won through a random phone call. Police informed him he’d been a victim of fraud.

2:30 p.m. — 800 block Rosewood Drive, voided checks, antibiotic prescription, various paperwork reported stolen from a vehicle.

2:42 p.m. — 8700 block West Ridge Road, wallet containing over $1,000 reported pick-pocketed by an unidentified black female in her 40s.

3:33 p.m. — 38900 block Chestnut Ridge Road, a woman reported two $178.27 orders on her debit card from Hot Topic that she hadn’t made.

Thursday, Aug. 4

12:06 a.m. — 1000 block Chestnut Commons Drive, Bambi L. Potter, 33, 1300 block East Ave., arrested and charged with theft for allegedly stealing $185.94 worth of assorted merchandise from Wal-Mart.

12:09 a.m. — 1700 block West Ave., 32-inch television and $30 in loose change reported stolen from a home.

12:27 a.m. — 300 block Broad St., bottle reported thrown at vehicle, damaging front hood, roof and windshield.

1:46 a.m. — 900 block Rosewood Drive, Raven B. Robinson, 18, 500 block Bell Ave., Melanie Burgg, 19, 1000 block Melvyn Lane, both arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. A juvenile female, 17, was also cited for aggravated burglary. The three allegedly assaulted a 16-year-old juvenile female.

3:00 a.m. — 900 block Hollywood Drive, juvenile female, 16, arrested and charged with underage consumption.

1:54 a.m. - 200 block West Ave., right and left window of a van reported shattered with a brick.

4:23 a.m. - 100 block East Ave., $1 in cash and loose change reported stolen from a home.

11:11 a.m. – 800 block W. 14th St., resident says man she’s been feuding with drove his car onto her front lawn and ran over a chair overnight.

12:13 p.m. – 3700 block Meister Road, 14-year-old girl, 3700 block Meister Road, Lorain, charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking her great-grandmother, causing a black eye, after the great-grandmother refused to give the girl permission to go to Florida. The girl was taken to a juvenile prison.

2:15 p.m. – 1300 block Massachusetts Ave., 9 mm semiautomatic pistol worth $200 stolen from dresser drawer in home. No signs of forced entry in home, but resident said home was locked.

9:50 a.m. — 2500 block E. 38th St., power wheelchair stolen during home burglary.

10:22 a.m. — 1300 block W. 10th St., copper pipe stolen from basement.

10:45 a.m. — Beaver Park Marina, 6000 W. Erie Ave., two wallets stolen from unlocked vehicle.

11:52 a.m. — Walmart, 4380 Leavitt Road, Danyele Velez, 19, 800 block Tower Blvd., charged with theft of food and pregnancy test.

4:45 p.m. — 1200 block W. 13th St., generator and 100 feet of copper pipe stolen from home.

4:47 p.m. — 800 block W. Sixth St., Darrel Jordan, 55, 600 block Washington Ave., charged with dog at large after his pit bull dog entered a nearby backyard and bit another dog on its back.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

3:10 p.m. — 1000 block W. First St., Danny R. Hembree, 100 block Hamilton Ave., Lorain, charged with keeping a vicious dog at large after a 78-year-old woman told police Hembree’s pit bull bit her on the right thigh as she was mowing her lawn. The dog had to be stunned with a Taser by a police officer and then shot with a tranquilizer by Lorain County Deputy Dog Warden Nelson Delgado. The dog was placed on a 10-day quarantine and Hembree was ordered to get a dog license and insurance or the dog will be destroyed.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

8:49 a.m. — 100 block W. Ninth St., CD player stolen from car in driveway overnight.

8:58 a.m. — 800 block W. 17th St., radio and jewelry with total value of $160 stolen from car overnight.

10:55 a.m. — 1300 block W. 10th St., rear window of home pried open, $400 worth of copper piping stolen.

7:03 p.m. — 100 block E. 22nd St., Melanie D. Ramirez, 31, 800 block of W. Ninth St., Lorain, arrested and charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching her husband in the head after he told her to leave his home. Ramirez had just been released from Lorain County Jail.

7:33 p.m. — Big Lots, 1211 Tower Blvd., woman says purse with credit cards and phones stolen from shopping cart while she shopped.

10:58 p.m. - 1100 block W. 18th St., Rashawn A. Peguero, 20, same address, charged with domestic violence, but not arrested for allegedly pulling his sister’s hair during an argument.

Thursday, Aug. 4

7:45 a.m. - 1400 block Missouri Ave., computer and phone with total value of $1,050 stolen from backpack.

8:54 a.m. - 800 block Lovett Place, lawnmower worth $403 stolen overnight off porch.

11:53 p.m. — North Center Street, Mark Breyley, 55, Spencer, charged with weaving course and DUI.

Sunday, July 31

6:40 p.m. — North Center Street, Dollar General, a woman reported that her purse was stolen from the store. Surveillance video alledgedly showed another lady entered the store and used the same shopping cart that had the reported “stolen purse.” She placed her purse on top of the other one and when she checked out, she took both purses with her. A call was made to the customer who said she took it on accident and she returned the purse with all of its belongings in place.

10:02 p.m. — North Center Street, Amanda Buckland, 23, Elyria, charged with driving under suspension non-compliance, expired plates and no operator’s license.

Thursday, July 28

9:19 a.m. — Chamberlain Road, report of an elderly woman in her night clothes walking on the road. The officer made contact with her husband and she went home.

Friday, July 29

6:13 a.m. — Elm Street, three juveniles were on the overpass and it appeared as if they were going to fall off since they were playing around. Officers arrived to learn that they were waiting for the sun to rise to take picture of daybreak.

7:07 p.m. — North Park, a resident complained that seven juveniles on bicycles were smoking cigarettes.

1:56 a.m. — 900 block Chestnut St., slashed tire.

7:56 a.m. — 1000 block Hunters Chase, a man reported that someone wrote on his car windows with window paint. The painter wrote “things about his daughter that were not very nice.” He requested extra patrol at night.

Sunday, July 31

8:23 p.m. — Wellfleet, three juveniles were smoking. They were advised and the officer took the cigarettes.

8:46 p.m. — 1000 block Wellfleet Drive, a woman reported she thinks her neighbor’s juvenile is taking things and some of her planters were gone. The items were returned and the juvenile has been advised about trespassing and stealing.

11:01 p.m. — Yarmouth Road, caller advised that a couple was lying in the middle of the road screaming. No one was found.

Monday, Aug. 1

11:29 a.m. — Commerce Drive, a woman reported that an elderly man was digging through the Dumpster making a mess. He agreed to clean the mess.

9:04 p.m. — 400 block Main St., Auto Zone reported their building was vandalized with red paint.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

2:01 p.m. — 1000 block Hickory St., a man advised that the landscaping company that the bank hired blew grass all over his house and car.

9:34 a.m. - 700 block E St., van tire punctured, car owner suspects neighbors with whom she’s been feuding.
