Friday, July 1

9:48 a.m. – State Route 58 and U.S. Route 20, Christine Shoebottom, 48, of LaGrange, charged with theft at Walmart.

Sunday, July 3

7:37 p.m. – S. Professor Street, juvenile bureau investigates a fire in the brush and wooden fence at the service building for Oberlin City Light and Power.

Wednesday, July 6

11:32 p.m. – 200 block E. Lorain Street, criminal damaging reported.

Thursday, July 7

9:43 p.m. – E. College Street, menacing complaint involving juveniles at Gibson’s Bakery.

Thursday, June 9

10:08 p.m. – 100 block Carpenter Street, Billi Jo Rinehart, 36, of Wellington, charged with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct/intoxication after a neighbor told police she kicked in his door.

Friday, June 10

8:03 a.m. – 500 block N. Main Street, statute of the Virgin Mary was reported knocked off the base but could be repaired.

8:24 a.m. – 700 block N. Main St., Shane A. Pasadyn, 23, of Wellington, charged with littering after a witness complains to police he threw his trash on the ground at McDonald’s. When asked if Pasadyn threw his cup to the ground, he told police “yes, but I won’t admit to it,” according to a report.

10:20 p.m. – 800 block N. Main Street, man reports that he damaged the drive-through at McDonalds with his pickup.

Saturday, June 11

1:51 a.m. – 800 block N. Main St., Craig A. Finkel, 29, of Wellington, charged with physical control after police said he failed field sobriety tests at McDonald’s. Finkel, who has two prior physical control convictions, told police “If you think this is going to stop me from driving, you’re dumber than (expletive,)” according to a report.
