ELYRIA — A man was charged with receiving stolen property and possessing criminal tools Thursday after police were called to the 100 block of Marseilles Avenue on a report of a pickup containing steel stolen from Aztec Steel, according to a police report.
Mark Perron was charged from warrants regarding a theft on July 12, which police said was possibly related to the stolen steel found in the pickup.
When police arrived, they spotted a beige GMC Sonoma loaded with steel. An employee of Aztec Steel was contacted and later came to the scene to identify the stolen steel.
While police waited for the Aztec official to arrive, they saw a man later identified as Perron come out of a house and get inside the truck. Police then arrested the man, the report said.
