NORTH RIDGEVILLE -- Ohio Gov. John Kasich pushed his budget and other reforms during an appearance this afternoon at Kalt Manufacturing.
He also fended off criticism from Sheffield Mayor John Hunter who complained Kasich is trying to balance the state's budget at the expense of workers.
Kasich countered that he is trying to bring the pay and benefits of public employees more in line with the private sector.
Kasich said he wants to focus on fixing the state's battered economy by creating jobs by helping business.
He also said government needs to get better control of spending.
"If you've got less money, you've got to figure out what your priorities are," he said.
