Lorain police

Friday, July 23

6:11 p.m. – 5000 block Oberlin Ave., car broken into, GPS unit, jewelry, clothing, two cell phones and medication stolen.

8:04 p.m. – 4100 block Gary Ave., Ricardo Harrison, 42, of Lorain, charged with disorderly conduct persisting, disorderly conduct by intoxication and disturbing the peace.

8:34 p.m. – 3400 block McKinley Ave., Hispanic male enters residence saying he wanted a place to hide because four black males were chasing him. Resident told male to leave, as there were children there. The male then fled out the back door. Resident then saw a beige Oldsmobile with several black males in it cruising very slowly down the street.

10:09 p.m. – East 26th Street and Broadway, Sonny Morries, 38, of Lorain, charged with failure to signal turn and driving under revocation or suspension.

Saturday, July 24

7:01 a.m. – 100 block W. 23rd St., car window smashed., 7:46 a.m. – 1500 block Euclid Ave., potted plants stolen from residence.

9:21 a.m. – 1300 block Fillmore Circle, home broken into, three flat-screen TVs, video game system and DVDs stolen, 10:41 a.m. – 3000 block Broadway, vacant home broken into.

4:54 p.m. – 2900 block Larkmoore St., car broken into, wallet, cash, bank cards and Social Security card stolen.

Saturday, July 24

8 a.m. – 7400 block West River Road S., teenage boy charged with breaking and entering, accused of breaking into F&A Enterprises, possibly to steal scrap metal. Another male, who was seen carrying an aluminum pool ladder and several aluminum pipes, dropped the items and got away.

10:49 a.m. – 600 block Furnace St., bicycle found and turned over to police.

11:30 a.m. – 200 block Brandston Ave., wallet containing driver’s license, credit cards and debit cards stolen from vehicle.

1:42 p.m. – 100 block Broad St., Noreen Satterfield, 52, of Elyria, charged with theft, accused of shoplifting dietary supplement pills from Rite-Aid.

Sunday, July 11

12:16 a.m. – Truxton Place, complaint of loud party in Highland Park, party cleared.

1:42 p.m. – 1100 block Nagel Road, complaint that teens are using camper stored on property for drugs/sexual activity, complainant will pursue charges if teens return.

10:54 p.m. – 36500 block Chester Road, about 10 younger adults jumped the fence to access the pool at Avon Apartments, advised of trespassing and left.

Monday, July 12

5:33 p.m. – 35900 block Detroit Road, woman reported to have shoplifted about 8 pieces of men’s clothing from Kohls, fled store.

Wednesday, July 14

8:34 a.m. – 37700 block N. Doovys St., house egged.

9:22 a.m. – Interstate 90, light lens comes off truck, damages car behind it.

6:21 p.m. – 2300 block Chelsea Street, dog poop found in mailbox.

Thursday, July 15

2:21 a.m. – 36600 block Bauerdale Court, fight in front of residence. Parties separated, three told not to return.

11:04 p.m. – State Route 611 and Miller Road, heavily intoxicated male walking in road, driven home.

Friday, July 16

12:40 a.m. – Detroit Road and Stoney Ridge Road, female passed out in gazebo, male passed out in bushes, both transported to St. John West Shore.

9:30 a.m. – 1000 block Lear Industrial Parkway, car parked in lot damaged by another car doing a donut in nearby gravel lot.

9:06 p.m. – 35800 Detroit Road, woman found intoxicated and drinking wine in ladies room at Target, she admits to buying a bottle of wine at the store and going into the ladies room to drink it. Woman is not charged, but is barred from store and taken home by police.

Saturday, July 17

12:49 a.m. – 100 block Shakespeare Lane, juveniles making noise and playing loud music, they were advised.

6:12 p.m. – 3400 block Stoney Bridge Road, fight at Tom’s Country Place, subjects separated and left for the night.

8:14 p.m. – 32700 block Avon Road, large snake in yard, removed.

Thursday, July 8

9:42 a.m. – 200 block Lear Road, woman outside with no clothes on. Subject hospitalized.

11:29 p.m. – 31900 block Starboard Cove, report of juvenile burning jersey in the street.

Juvenile advised, and cleaned up debris.

Friday, July 9

7:38 a.m. – 33100 block Redwood Blvd., report of phone calls claiming resident won some sort of prize. Resident did not believe phone calls and wanted police aware of calls.

12:46 p.m. – 32200 block Electric Blvd. Elderly woman victim of identity theft.

10:25 p.m. – 300 block Inwood Blvd., juvenile hit with pellet from air gun.

Saturday, July 10

3:38 p.m. – 32500 block Spinnaker Drive, abandoned silver Schwinn mountain bike found on property.

6:29 p.m. – 100 block Parkwood Ave., complaint that neighbor’s cat came into yard and bit resident.

9:16 p.m. – 32700 block Lake Road, car broken into, window smashed, purse stolen.

11:51 p.m. – 32500 block Captains Galley, house toiletpapered.

Sunday, July 11

12:54 a.m. – Krebs Road, car goes into ditch swerving to avoid deer. No injuries, car towed.

1:07 a.m. – 80 block Maplecliff Drive, loud music complaint, intoxicated resident advised, music turned off.

4:38 a.m. – Electric Boulevard and Avon Belden Road, report of man in gold vehicle dumping stuff in City Hall dumpster.

5:27 p.m. – 100 block Beck Road, two homeless people found sleeping on property.

9:13 p.m. – 100 block Williamsburg Drive, noise complaint over pool party, neighbor advised to keep noise down.

Monday, July 12

12:36 p.m. – 33300 block Walker Road, report of dog inside parked car with windows completely closed.

11:01 p.m. – Electric Boulevard, blue Ford Ranger with two passengers hit dog and fled.

Tuesday, July 13

6:22 p.m. – 300 block Avon Belden Road, possible attempted burglary, pry marks on window frame.

8:36 p.m. – 32500 block Electric Blvd., complaint of fireworks, party advised.
