Lack of romance fails to eliminate Jesse

The moves Amherst Steele grad Jesse Csincsak made on the snow-covered mountains of Breckenridge, Colo., apparently made up for the lack of romantic moves he made on “The Bachelorette,” DeAnna Pappas.

For at the end of Monday night’s two-hour episode of the ABC reality series, he was one of the final three still standing.

Csincsak, 27, a professional snowboarder who continued to impress the dark-haired Greek beauty with his natural ways and boy-next-door demeanor, was presented the first red rose — which means he lives to fight — and love — for another show.

Pappas, who herself was rejected at the conclusion of last fall’s “The Bachelor,” spent the most time yet with all four guys battling to win her heart — and hand in marriage. She went to the four men’s homes and met their families.

The show opened with Csincsak and Pappas in Colorado where they laughed it up and got cozy on the snow before she was surprised by his down-to-earth and highly organized apartment complete with labeled drawers and kitchenware.

Csincsak, who teaches people how to snowboard, seemed to relish seeing Pappas a bit uncomfortable on one — as uncomfortable as he was during their first big date a few weeks ago.

When Pappas got to meet Wilma and Ted Csincsak, Jesse’s parents, who traveled from Amherst for the show, she told them, “I am totally blessed to have met him, regardless of what happens.”

When Jesse talked with his parents, he described Pappas as “a pistol” before confessing he wasn’t sure he was ready for marriage in a matter of weeks.

But Jesse and DeAnna finally shared their first lingering kiss during an evening-ending carriage ride.

The surprise of the evening came when she booted Graham — the man she has made it clear she likes the most. She was weepy about it but she told him he was too emotionally distant and she was afraid of getting hurt.

That means next week, it’s down to Jesse, the maverick; Jeremy, the man too perfect to be true; and Jason, the man who has a son.

Stay tuned.
