Woman suspected of DUI after two-car crash

EATON TWP. — A Spencer woman who police said mixed drinking with driving Saturday evening drifted into oncoming traffic on state Route 57, wounding a Grafton couple traveling in the opposite direction, state troopers said.

Patricia Zsigray, 42, was driving a Pontiac Sunfire south toward Grafton about 6:30 p.m. and weaved over the center line, Trooper Shaun Kline said.

She struck a glancing blow off the front left corner of a Ford Taurus driven by James Harsh, 68, Kline said.

Harsh and his wife, Gladys, 60, were taken to EMH Regional Medical Center for bruises and abrasions from their seat belts. An emergency room supervisor said they were in good shape.

“It wasn’t much, and they were lucky it wasn’t head-on, otherwise we might have had a death tonight,” Kline said.

Zsigray was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and was receiving emergency care late Saturday.

Kline said that after she is released from the hospital Zsigray will be charged with DUI, driving left of center and failure to wear a seat belt.
