Woman arrested after touching boys
ELYRIA — A registered sex offender was charged with sexual imposition Oct. 24 for allegedly touching two juvenile males despite their objections to her advances, an Elyria police report said.
Heather Linden, 31, of Elyria, was admitted to Lorain County Jail on Nov. 1 — days after the incident — where she was being held on $750 bond, according to jail officials.
Elyria police were called to a Kentucky Drive home at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 24, where a juvenile male said that Linden touched him inappropriately, a police report said.
The boy said he was at a friend’s house, also on Kentucky Drive, when Linden started flirting with him and his friend. The boy said
Linden started touching both boys inappropriately, and they told her to stop, but she continued, the report said.
Both boys went inside the home and told their mothers. Someone checked Linden’s name on the Internet and discovered she was a registered sex offender. The report did not specify why Linden wasn’t arrested until Nov. 1.
Man kicks K-9, but the K-9 bites back
LORAIN — A Lorain man who kicked a K-9 officer after it attacked him when he tried to flee a traffic stop Saturday was charged with assaulting a police dog, a Lorain police report said.
Tirell Allen, 18, was also charged with resisting arrest, failure to comply with police orders, driving under suspension and running a red light, while his passenger, Derrick Smith, 18, of Lorain, was charged with possession of cocaine.
Allen’s minivan on Colorado Avenue failed to stop for a red light at C Street shortly before 2:30 p.m., the report said.
Officer Peter Soto tried to get the minivan to pull over, but the minivan sped down the road before coming to an abrupt halt, where the driver — later identified as Allen — bolted from the vehicle on foot, the report said.
A police K-9 was sent after Allen while Smith waited with another officer at the vehicle. The dog quickly caught Allen, and a brief struggle between man and dog resulted. Allen kicked the dog and was bitten in his arm and leg in the process, the report said.
