Judy & Edward Pluta
Happy 50th anniversary, Judy and Edward Pluta! The Rev. T. Fred Hussey married the couple in the Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland on Feb. 15, 1969.
Judy worked as a legal assistant/paralegal in various law firms for more than 38 years, retiring from the legal/patent department at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in May 2011. She obtained professional legal secretary and professional paralegal certifications from the National Association Legal Secretaries, an association for legal professionals. She is still active in the Medina chapter, NALS of Northeast Ohio. After retiring from Goodyear, Judy worked for six more years part-time in a Medina law firm before retiring again last Fall. Judy stays busy scrapbooking, hosting weekend crops for her friends in various locations. She also loves to travel on cruises, and to the beach with family.
Ed was a lead electronic technician and retired from NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland in January 2006, after 38 years of service. Ed enjoys daily hikes in the county parks with his best rescued buddy, Roe. He likes to build furniture and repair electronic devices. But mostly, Ed loves every opportunity he gets, to spend time with his grandson, Keegan, watching him play sports like soccer, baseball, hockey and ice skating.
Judy and Ed have two sons, Ryan and Greg (Jodi) Pluta; and are blessed with one grandson, Keegan, who melts their hearts.
The couple plan to celebrate their special day with a small family dinner and at a later date with family and friends. A family cruise is also on the agenda, capping off 50 wonderful years of marriage.
