ELYRIA — Bishop Nelson Perez celebrated Mass at Elyria Catholic High School this morning, urging students to look at love in more than superficial terms.

It was the first visit by Perez, who was installed last month, to a Catholic high school within the Diocese of Cleveland. A group of students met Perez at his installation Mass and invited him to the school.

Perez urged students during Mass on Monday morning to consider acts of mercy and compassion as part of love for humanity.
