Multiple Breed Rescue

Leah is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

Sweet Leah was picked up as a stray and very pregnant. Within a couple days of coming in to the rescue, she gave birth to five adorable puppies. She has been everything a mom is supposed to be for them, just wonderful. The time has come for her babies to be adopted and now is also her turn to find a family of her own. Leah is fun and playful, only about 11/2 years old. She loves everyone and everything she comes in contact with. She would appreciate having another dog and/or kids to play with in a fenced-in yard. If you would like the opportunity to possibly have Leah join your family, please complete an adoption application for approval.

Darla is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

Darla is a typical puppy—funny, sweet, zany and lovable. Darla needs lots of structure and is working on the basics. She is housebroken, crate-trained, can sit and shake, and yesterday her foster dad took her on a walk and said he rated her “outstanding.” She loves to ride in the car and she adores everyone she meets. Even though they are typical puppy behaviors, we are working on not jumping on people and not mouthing.

Darla is fine with other dogs, but she can be overwhelming with her high energy level, so living with an older or a grumpy dog would probably not work. Darla might also be too strong to have around younger children who might get hurt while she is still in her jumping and smothering with kisses stage. She enjoys running and playing in the yard, walking, playing with toys, riding in the car, and cuddling—pretty much anything, as long as she is with her family.

Darla needs people who are familiar with bigger dogs and know how to properly work with puppies. Training classes will help her a lot, as she is eager to learn. She is a diamond in the rough and just needs the right human(s) to provide guidance and lots of positive reinforcement for her. She is already such a good girl; we can see that it won’t take long for her to be perfect!

Stella is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

Miss Stella is house-trained, good with other dogs and good with cats. But she’s really not a fan of little children. She had a very bad experience with a child not being nice to her, and she is now very fearful of them. She is NOT mean, just scared. She walks nice on a leash and is very sweet. Ideally, we would like to see Stella go to a child-free home (visiting kids are fine, just not living with them constantly). She needs a fenced-in yard or a diligent owner that will keep her on a leash because she tends to “go deaf” and sometimes forget the obedience she’s learned when outside.

BREED: Chihuahua /Miniature Pinscher Mix
