Multiple Breed Rescue

Macy is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

Macy is adorable, full of energy, and VERY SMART! She loves walks and catching the ball. She is typical to her breed She is focused on you throwing a ball and her getting the ball. Want her to do something, you don’t need treats, just a ball. She will do anything you ask for if you have a ball. Macy walks well on a leash and is fine around other dogs as long as they aren’t in her face. If they bark at her or try to be pushy, she will bark at them to leave her alone. She was taken to the dog pound for chasing and killing chickens ... she is a border collie so their job is to “herd” things, so we aren’t sure if she killed the chickens while trying to get them to do what she wanted or “hunted” them. Our guess is they weren’t listening!

Scooter is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

Scooter was picked up as a stray by an Ohio county dog shelter. The shelter vet examined him and realized something wasn’t right with his right hip. The shelter volunteers were concerned for him and went on a search for a rescue that would make sure he received medical care that the shelter couldn’t provide. Looking at that sweet face, we couldn’t let this guy be passed up for unknown medical reasons so we took him into our rescue and straight to the vet. We were expecting the worse (thousands of dollars in medical bills), and we got just the opposite. X-rays showed that at some time in his life, he suffered a major injury. His right hip was crushed but seems to have healed on its own. Structurally he is not correct, but that doesn’t affect his ability to do normal dog things. And his left leg has a pin in it, clearly from a break in the leg on a growth plate. Again, this does not affect his ability to be a normal dog. His only “side effect” is arthritis. He is house-trained, fine around kids, fine with other dogs, crate trained and knows basic commands. He loves to play with toys, go for walks and sunbathing! Who knows what this poor dog has been through, but we have promised him the very best home and love forever, hoping that comes sooner than later!

JJ is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

JJ is settling in nicely at his foster home. He is getting along good with the other dogs he is temporarily sharing space with. He is a lot of fun, playful and entertaining. Yet he will calm down and enjoy a belly rub and snuggle time! JJ is house-trained and crate-trained. He loves toys! He gathers them and puts them all around him. Tug toys are his favorite. JJ is a high jumper and his foster home is working on teaching him to stay down when appropriate. He’s smart and learning basic commands and how to properly walk on a leash. JJ would love an active home where he could have plenty of opportunities to expel his energy.
