Critter Chronicles: Chief

  • http-chronicle-northcoastnow-com-wp-content-uploads-2014-02-chiefbest-285x300

It's hard not to fall for this guy, he has a wonderful personality and temperament.  Chief was rescued from the Lorain County Dog Kennel.  He gets along fine with other dogs but does prefer they are calm and seems ok with cats.  A more thorough cat test will be needed but it appears all will be ok.  Chief should be fine with children but due to his size and age, we would like them to be at least 12 years old.  Chief apparently has lived in a home, he appears to be housetrained  and will be a low maintenance dog.  He does good in the car and enjoys going for rides with you.  I'm pretty confident he will be able to be left with the run of house while you work and will be patiently waiting for your return.  What he will need daily is a walk and some form of exercise and interaction with you.  We would prefer he has a fenced in yard so he can explore at his leisure without the constraints of a tether.  Chief walks like a dream on a leash and is just an all around great dog.  He has been in boarding for some time and it is starting to take a toll on him.
