Critter Chronicles: Libby

  • http-chronicle-northcoastnow-com-wp-content-uploads-2014-01-libby-hounds-300x287

Libby has just returned to us after six months.  She was in a home with a rambunctious puppy and other dogs.  Libby has hip dysplasia and when the puppy would try to roughhouse with her, she snarled causing the other dogs to go after Libby who was unable to defend herself.  She snarled because of the pain of her hip dysplasia.  She also lived with cats and small children visited often and Libby was great with all.  We believe her pain of the hip dysplasia can be managed by weight loss and daily exercise, she needs to walk daily.  As in people, exercise and weight control are main factors.  Libby listens off leash which is a big bonus but we don't recommend just letting her off leash until she has bonded with you.  She is a super sweet girl who has had a rough life and she deserves a loving home.  She wants nothing more than to please someone.  She won't ask for much, mostly love and exercise.
