This precious girl is easy to fall in love with. Collette was rescued from the Lorain County Dog Kennel and she appeared to have given up. Lettie was in pain from arthritis and was, for lack of a better word, defeated. We got her to the vet, got all of her vetting done, trimmed her horribly long nails and started her on the road to recovery and a road filled with love and encouragement. Collette has responded and is almost a new dog, one that now has a sparkle and life in her eyes. She is the best dog, totally fine with any dog, fine with cats and is totally housetrained. We would not want her to go with children due to her arthritis. Collette loves to go for rides in the car and does great, happy to just go along. She will make an easy, low-maintenance companion. Collette is content to take a snooze while you go about your daily activities. She can be left with the run of the house while someone is at work. All she wants is a daily walk to keep her in good shape and help with her arthritis, food and most of all, the love she had gone without. Collette's arthritis is very easily managed, but she needs to go to a home where it is not necessary to go up or down a full flight of stairs. She can do four or five steps at a time but that is about her limit.
