Elyria Police find drugs, weapons, cash after drug investigation

ELYRIA – The Elyria Police Department Narcotics and Detective Division found weapons, cash and multiple illegal drugs after a drug investigation June 5, according to a news release.

Authorities, along with an agent from the Cleveland Federal Bureau of Investigation, arrested Toby C. Lewis, 24, in his apartment on the 2000 block of West River Road North in its  investigation of drug sales. The officers also searched the home and the jeep parked in the complex which was also in connection to the drug investigation.

Officers found a 40 caliber pistol with a 22 round magazine, four grams of marijuana, 14.3 grams of crack cocaine, 13.53 grams of suspected Fentanyl, three Oxycodone pills and $1,470 in cash.

Lewis was held on a parole violation through the state of Ohio with pending charges following his arrest.
