Body found in Cuyahoga County identified as missing Columbia Township woman

OLMSTED TOWNSHIP -- A body found Sunday frozen in ice on Sprague Road has been identified as Julie Parks, a Columbia Station woman reported missing last month, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office announced.

Parks, 48, went missing the evening of Jan. 6 from her home. The Lorain County Sheriff's Office was investigating her disappearance, and said she was easily disoriented due to a previous traumatic brain injury.

The medical examiner's office received the body Sunday after it was found on the ground in the 27000 block of Sprague Road, less than 4 miles from Columbia Station.

Lorain County Sheriff's Capt. Heath Tester said Wednesday the investigation still is awaiting autopsy and toxicology test results.
