NORTH RIDGEVILLE — A man was hit Monday evening at Case and Center Ridge roads.
North Ridgeville firefighters responded to a call about 5:20 p.m. for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle on Case Road. They found a man lying on the side of the road with complaints of an injury, according to a news release. He reportedly had been walking in the same direction of traffic and was hit at a low speed.
A medical helicopter was placed on standby while crews were en route to the emergency, but was not flying due to weather conditions. The man was taken to University Hospitals St. John Medical Center in Westlake via ambulance. The man’s condition and extent of his injuries are unknown.
