Two people from Elyria and two from Detroit face drug charges after Elyria police searched an apartment on East Avenue on Wednesday.

Pedro Franceschi, 36, and Courtney Warrens, 26, both of 1312 East Avenue were taken into custody, as were Keshawn Freeman and Damon Farish, both 21 and both from Detroit. All face charges of drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance, and all are in Lorain County Jail pending their initial appearance in Elyria Municipal Court. Jail records indicate Franceschi also faces an unrelated bench warrant from Lorain on contempt of court charges.

Police believe Franceschi bought large quantities of Percocet prescription pills from distributors in Detroit and in turn distributes them throughout Lorain County. During the raid, police also seized $3,000 in cash, a loaded shotgun and more than 800 pills believed to be oxycodone, the narcotic ingredient in Percocet.
