AVON LAKE — Former Cleveland Cavaliers’ point guard Jose Calderon’s home in Avon Lake was burglarized between July 21 and July 25, according to the city’s police.
A neighbor had been checking on the home while Calderon was out of town, and noticed the garage door was open and a White 2017 Jeep Wrangler missing.
The door to the kitchen also was open, and police reported the house had been entered and searched. Items taken included a Chanel watch, Prada handbag, Xbox One S, iMac and Louis Vuitton shoes.
Lt. Scott Fishburn said the home, in the 31000 block of Lake Road, was for sale at the time of the burglary.
The break-in is under investigation and there are no suspects at this time. According to Fishburn, the Jeep was later recovered in Youngstown, undamaged.
Calderon signed a one-year deal in July with the Detroit Pistons.
