ELYRIA – The body of a 50-year-old woman was found at the Young Women’s Christian Association building Wednesday morning.

Samantha Liston, who had been staying at the YWCA at 318 West Ave. since July, was found unresponsive on the east end of the property slumped over in a chair, said Elyria Police Capt. Chris Costantino. LifeCare and Elyria Police arrived at the YWCA at 7:30 a.m. and determined no signs of foul play in the woman’s death.

“At this juncture, there’s nothing more but a death caused by natural causes or possibly a drug overdose,” Costantino said.

The Lorain County Coroner Dr. Stephen Evans will coduct toxicology tests to determine Liston’s cause of death. Results are expected in the next three weeks.
