AMHERST TWP. — A North Ridgeville man was injured following a rollover crash on West Ridge Road late Wednesday afternoon.

Scott Grodi, 37, was driving a 2000 Volvo south on West Ridge Road about 3:45 p.m. when he veered off the right side of the road, striking some brush and a tree, which caused the vehicle to roll over, according to Ohio Highway Patrol Trooper Lance Deshuk.

“He did sustain some injuries, was transported by EMS to Amherst Hospital,” Deshuk said. “Injuries at this time are unknown.”

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Traffic was controlled on West Ridge Road, Deshuk said, but not shut.

The Ohio Highway Patrol received mutual aid from Amherst Fire Department, Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and Elyria police.
