A Spencer woman has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash in Penfield Township on Sunday night.
According to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, William Hill, 74, was riding south on State Route 301, with Eleanor Hill, 74, as a passenger on the 2008 Harley-Davidson. State troopers believed the rear tire malfunctioned, and the motorcycle went off the right side of the road, hitting a ditch and throwing William and Eleanor Hill.
William Hill was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Eleanor Hill was taken to University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, and then flown to University Hospital in Cleveland, where she died of her injuries.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be involved, and both riders were wearing helmets. The crash remains under investigation.
