LORAIN — Police are seeking a suspect in an armed robbery of the Chase bank at the corner of Leavitt and Cooper Foster Park roads Monday.

According to police, a man wearing tan pants, a gray hoodie, a black mask and white gloves came into the bank around noon. He showed a weapon, according to multiple witnesses, and left with an undetermined amount of cash in a black duffel bag.

Police said the robber took off northbound toward Eastman Drive.

No injuries were reported from the robbery, but police said the suspect pointed the gun at people in the bank. The bank has temporarily closed the building and the branch manager declined to comment on the incident.

Police warn people in the area that the suspect is still armed and dangerous. Police are asking anyone with information to help in the investigation to call (440) 204-2100.
