ELYRIA — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred about 6:20 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of East Avenue.
After responding to a 911 call of “shots fired,” police arrived and found a man had been shot.
The man, who was in his 40s, has not been identified and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Elyria police Sgt. Thomas Wade, the suspect had not been apprehended as of 11 p.m. Friday.
